Basic Computer Training In Pretoria

This course introduces students to the use of personal computers. Students learn about the components that make up a personal computer and they acquire some basic knowledge of how to use several of the most common types of application software (Microsoft Word, Access and Excel). Students are also given an introduction to the creation and use of various kinds of media files (audio, video, graphics, animation) and they are also introduced to the Internet and the use of a browser and various plug-ins, allowing students view or hear different kinds of media files.

There is a brief introduction to Windows and to the use of the mouse, keyboard, monitors, and printers. Students are also introduced to the concept of file and folder management and to the organisation of files on the hard drive.

Finally, students are introduced to the use of the Internet and the World Wide Web and they are given some practice in browsing the Web, using e-mail, and accessing a newsgroup. There is also a brief introduction to networks and how computers communicate with each other. The information in this course is designed to help the student to comfortably and productively work on a computer.

Students use a combination of Windows, MS Office, and Internet Explorer for this course.

Grade 12 Equivalent Training in Pretoria

We have good news for Students who have failed or not completed matric!

We offer a grade 12 high school equivalent option, which is an overseas General High School Diploma. It allows students to get a better job in South Africa or study further locally or internationally.

The exams are internationally recognised as a high school equivalent or Grade 12. The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluates each submission of a foreign qualification on a case by case basis. Once you have received your SAQA Conversion, it will state that you have obtained a qualification equivalent to a NQF Level 4, Grade 12. This General High School Diploma is eligible for evaluation as a South African National Senior Certificate.

This is useful for Job applications. Students with this credential are also accepted at colleges and other tertiary institutions as well as certain universities in South Africa. This is all dependant on your results, the field of study and the discretion of the university.

Many students who have previously failed Matric or did not complete high school and have completed the General High School Diploma have already been accepted for further studies and are studying both in South Africa and abroad.
